Meet John Power

My name is John Power and I am the founder and owner of Powerhouse Consultants.

I left school at 14 and have pretty much been self employed since that day at one level or another. I have worked as a self employed individual, as a company directly employing approximately 25 staff, and everything else in between.

I have had massive failures in business where I have had my house and my car etc repossessed to meet financial loans, but I have also had massive successes. The key here is that I learned from my mistakes. I kept moving forward, and I now run 2 successful businesses and am blessed to live a very productive and happy life.

You will never meet someone that is successful in business who has not previously gone through many failures. Failing at something does not make you a failure, you are only a failure when you stop. When you learned to ride a bicycle as a child you fell off many times but you did not give up because you desperately wanted to ride the bike. Business is exactly the same, learn from your mistakes, keep moving forward, never give up, and enjoy the ride ;0)

The biggest discoveries I have made in my business journey are;

  1. Mindset. You can never outperform your self image. Mindset is everything. You need to follow a goal achieving programme to seriously achieve your business and personal goals.

  2. Stop looking outside your business for solutions. You always have more going for you than you think. For example, you can train your existing staff to bring in sales, this can be set up with speed and little financial outlay.

  3. Never be afraid to ask for help. We ask specialists for help all the time in our daily lives (mechanics, dentists, electricians etc). To develop personally and in business we also need specialist help and advice, mentorship and accountability. This is where we can help you.
